...making all things new!

hey there!
on the pic you see a part of our new living/diningroom...it's cosy, isn't it?
we put a lot of effort and sweat into the renovating-project, but now we are almost finished and quite happy with the result. we still have no bedroom-furniture, the new bed and cupboard will only be delivered a few days after the wedding. and we are getting a new, big couch for the living room, as we hope to get many visitors in the future! ;-) but other than that, we are done with moving and painting and sorting out stuff...
now there are only 33 days left until our church-wedding and we will be married by law in 4 weeks!
i slowly begin to realize that it'll all soon be over and i guess looking back the whole time of preparation and waiting will feel much shorter than it feels now...
i hope i don't fall into a black hole or something like that after the wedding! ;-)
no, actually i am really glad when we can look back at the day and all the excitement and nervousness turn into nice memories and funny stories, that we will probably still tell our children...
in this busy time now i wish i would be able to STOP all these organisationary thoughts running around in my head for a while and just be thankful and happy that i found my soulmate and that i would realise that this whole wedding thing is NOT about the perfect party, the best outfit or the color of the flowers...but that it's about celebrating God's faithfulness and comitting myself to this person that God brought into my life!
God help me not to run around in a hamsters-wheel, but to slow down and let go of the things that are foolish in your eyes...help me to focus on what is important: love, family and friends!
